  • 1 Instant Pot

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 cup Wild rice wild rice blend
  • 1 ½ cups Broth or Water vegetable
  • 1 pinch Salt (You can adjust to taste.)
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder (Optional for extra flavor.)

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the wild rice under cold water to remove any debris. Drain well.
  • Add the rinsed wild rice, 1 ½ cups of broth or water, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and a pinch of salt to the Instant Pot.
  • Seal the Instant Pot lid and set the vent to ‘sealing.
  • Set the Instant Pot to cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
  • Once the cooking time is finished, allow the Instant Pot to release pressure naturally for 20-30 minutes.
  • After the natural release, carefully open the Instant Pot and fluff the rice with a fork to separate the grains.
  • Serve the wild rice as a side dish or use it in a variety of meals like salads, casseroles, or grain bowls.

Notes

"To store, keep the cooked wild rice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can also freeze cooked wild rice for up to 6 months. To reheat, add a little water or broth and warm in the microwave or on the stovetop."
